There is a way to Pattipola from Alawathugoda village by trough the heavy forest. This way is more than 5km. When you come along this way first you arrive to the place which surround the lot of chenas. In this place you can see the long area. Udamala mountain's most beautiful sceneries you can see only this place.  When you travel that way along then you can see the some forests with eucalyptus. After through the eucalyptus forest you meet area seem the ground. When you see as inspection, you can see Wangedi rock.

        Wangedi Rock seems very big cave. Some used it as cave. On the Rock in inscription, stone. It included about the provenance. Some says that inside of this rock has provenance.  In the inscription stone has printed mortar symbol. There fore this rock identify Wangedi rock. Wangedi means mortar. Some says that the secret chit include about this provenance and some fear to get it and some had tried to get it although some had punished by nature.

         Near the Wangedi rock there is a waterfall. It's looks like a steps. We cant go very much near to it because the columbine. Some can identify that the waterfall not the natural. Some says that the fall is artificial because of it shape. However lot of secrets are hidden this place.

          You can see various type of Animals, plants and other beautiful things from this place. There are lot deer you can se there. Most famous, most beautiful and most important endemic plant of this place called "Ma Rathmal" (Scientific meaning =  Rhododendron arboreum) you can see there.

          Follow the Wangedi rock and through the heavy forest with lot of difficulties you can go to Pattipola place.
